Sinalo was the catalyst for the foundation of the organisation. Initially just his education was sponsored, and he lived at home with his parents. However, it was clear that although he received the benefit of a good education; there was a lack of support, guidance and involvement from his family.
The sponsors who live locally, recognised that it was not enough to just sponsor the fees alone, so they became more involved in fulfilling the peripheral needs as well as guiding and educating the parents.
Sinalo is 8 years old and currently in Grade 2 at Kronendal Primary School.
He shows great sporting promise, particularly in tennis, cricket and soccer.
Sinalo’s mother (unemployed), father and 2 year old sister, live in Khaleysha, Cape Town.
His birthday is 27th March, and he would like a Play station 2!
