Programme

The Programme can be categorised into 3 areas: Selection, Sponsorship and Support.

Operating principals
  • Bright Start offers under-privileged children a brighter future by placing them in prominent local schools with proven excellent educational standards.
  • Bright Start’s Education Programme addresses the social, physical and emotional needs of the child.
  • Bright Start works alongside the child, teachers, parents and third parties to provide support and guidance.
  • Parents are asked to make a small fixed monthly contribution.
  • Each child is allocated a ‘mentor’ from Bright Start.
  • Generally the children selected are at nursery or pre-school age.
  • Sponsors will be allocated a specific child.
  • 100% of the donors contribution reaches the child (no admin costs).
  • Bright Start fundraises for the extra circular and peripheral needs of the child.
  • Bright Start provides regular communication with the donor, -term progress reports, photo and an annual review.
  • The programme will be limited to a maximum of 20 students.
