There are two types of sponsorship – An Education Sponsor, and A Once off Sponsor.
Once off donations
Donations are gratefully received and contribute towards the extra curricular and peripheral needs of the children.
Typically:
- Uniforms
- Sports equipment
- Birthday parties /presents
- Doctors, dentists
- Specialist learning needs
- School equipment
- Books
- Transportation
Education Sponsors
An education sponsor contributes the amount for an individual child’s school fees at prominent local schools with proven excellent educational standards, in Hout Bay.
Ideal sponsors would be those who are able to make a financial commitment for a significant period of the school career, or at least a minimum of two years.
This maybe either an individual sponsorship, group or corporate sponsorship.
Sponsors are allocated a specific child of whom Bright Start provides regular communication. This includes details of the child’s progress, term reports, an annual review, school photo and artwork.
If the sponsor can no longer continue their commitment, BS endeavours to find another donor to take over the child. In the event a donor cannot be found within this time, the organisation pledges to finance the fees until otherwise.
