Support
Selection | Support | Schools | SustainabilityOur Programme is run as a partnership between 3 parties: Bright Start, the schools and the parents. All three have an equal responsibility to support and encourage the child. We work together with the parents and teachers to ensure the child is receiving the necessary support to reach his or her potential.
Child
The Programme provides financial, social, emotional and academic support to maximise the learning opportunity. A child’s ability to learn and succeed at school depends on these factors.
Teachers
We work alongside teachers to assist with needs beyond the classroom such as extra-curricular activities, third party support, social or emotional problems, and facilitating communication with the parents if necessary.
Parents
We provide support to parents to emphasize the importance of education, to assist with cultural differences, encourage their involvement in their child’s schooling and facilitate communication with teachers.
Over and above providing support, the Programme offers assistance in the following ways:
- Monthly progress meetings - involving child, teacher and parents.
- Message folder reviews – to keep up-to-date with school events.
- Extra-curricular activities – participation suitability.
- Transportation to events – only if required.
- Third party assistance – doctors, dentists, educational specialists, extramural activities, swimming and more.
- Birthdays – assistance with birthday parties.
- Sponsor communication – termly and annual reports.
