In order to ensure the sustainability of the organisation, we believe in a policy of utilising volunteers from the local community who have skills and experience and a heart for transformation in our country. This means that needs such as transport for outings, birthday parties, arts and crafts workshops and occasional extra tuition are fulfilled with minimum cost to the company.

All founding members volunteer their time and resources with no cost to Bright Start, and believe in fundraising and building awareness of the organisation’s aims and objectives especially within the local community. Thus local professionals such as dentists and doctors have offered their services to our parents at greatly subsidised rates. Furthermore, all donor funds go directly to the cost of education. Some donations are received specifically for running costs, which enables us to employ a national co-ordinator and pay for aftercare if needed.

Our objectives are to fundraise and build awareness nationally by linking with funding partners and educational NGOs. We hope to build sustainability and deliver education opportunities to many more children.

In this way, we hope to accelerate the transformation of South Africa and build a better future for the next generation!
